My journey so far…

I have always loved interacting with people, have a genuine curiosity for what motivates and matters to people, and a desire to help, so becoming a coach - creating a partnership with someone to help them better themselves, their experience of life, or achieve something important to them - has been a natural progression in my professional life.

With a background in Education, as a teacher, colleague and leader, I have been involved in nurturing individuals and teams. I have observed significant breakthroughs, supported others in developing a growth mindset, celebrated achievements, and recognised the power of improved confidence, morale and self-belief in the work place. I believe that vision, determination and compassion can get you far!

I love the outdoors and having mini adventures with family and friends, whether we are zipping off to the coast in our campervan or heading for the Alps in the winter.  The freedom of being in the mountains, conquering a ski run, followed by a mulled wine, is hard to beat! That being said, I can also be found in a cosy corner with a book! My husband’s job means that we move a lot and have to navigate change regularly. Over the years, my endeavour has been to design a lifestyle that is flexible and supports what is important to us.

It’s certainly not all plain sailing! In my personal and professional life, I have experienced periods of self doubt and feelings surrounding “imposter syndrome”. I have battled with the thoughts that can drag us all down, such as “not good enough” and my personal favourite, “must not fail”. And the impact of these limiting beliefs must not be underestimated! We all have our own, particular fear-driven versions!

That is why I am passionate about coaching. Dedicating a sliver of time to ourselves (no matter how impossible it seems) to work out what we really want, what’s working, what’s not… and why, what’s holding us back etc so we can move forward, be accountable and feel supported. It is a transformational process.

Am I the coach for you?

I believe that you are the expert at you
I then work with you in moving towards a better understanding of yourself and to finding your own insights, solutions, potential and peace of mind.

I won’t give you answers:

I will support you in finding your own.

I will be led by you and offer observations and feedback at times.

I won’t tell you what to do:

I won’t collude with you:

I will be honest.

I won’t interrogate you:

I will question you, stretch you and champion you.

My coaching style is warm, open and empathetic. I offer high support and high challenge, so that you can reach your desired outcomes. Our sessions will be focused, thorough and maybe even fun!

In a coaching session, I like to mix things up and find what works best for each individual and their unique set up. We can meet:

  • remotely or in-person;

  • in a quiet, calm space or up and moving;

  • inside or outside.

We can have a coaching conversation, tap into various coaching models and/or include different tools.

What remains the same is building a safe, confidential space together that is conducive to growth, experimentation and breakthrough.

Make sessions memorable: make the learnings stick!
